The Eyes Are the Mirror of the Soul

" A beautiful eye makes silence eloquent, a kind eye makes contradiction an assent, an enraged eye makes beauty deformed. This little member gives life to every other part about us; and I believe the story of Argus implies no more than that the eye is in every part; that is to say, every other part would be mutilated were not its force represented more by the eye than even by itself."
      - Joseph Addison
Computers, Tv's ,polluted environment...all these factors contribute in a bad way to our sight.
The eye is a fragile organ and it's care has to be very delicate and careful. Also the skin around them is being four times finer than the one on the chin.
But, at different ages, we have to care in different ways.
  20 years-  Start to care
At this age we just start our beauty habitFull make-up removal , skin hydration it has to be a reflex. Start to use daily a special eye cream. Apply it every morning, through massage and successive low pressure, the inner and outer corner of eye. Ideal is a moisturizer.
30 years - Deep care
To fight against signs of fatigue, is necessary to make a habit of using the cream for the eye contour in the morning and in the evening especially during the winter or if your skin is dry. Choose cream and refreshing formula that prevent wrinkles. Twice a week, put a moisturizing mask or apply compresses your anti-fatigue with tea or infusion.
40 years - Start to prevent
Now we have to prevent aging by applying nourishing anti-wrinkle effect eye creams, avoiding too sharp wrinkles installation. Apply the cream in the morning and in the evening, describing circles with your fingertips all over the eye. For situations in which you want to hide dark circles use a corrective makeup bags and a massage which decreases rapidly with an ice cube wrapped in gauze.

Bellow, are some useful tips to know:
Things You'll Need:
1 oz. of eyebright herb or eyebright herbal tea
Rosehip herbal tea
1 raw white potato
Fresh figs
Food grater
Strainer
Cotton balls or soft gauze pads
Use the herb eyebright as an eye tonic. Add 1 tbsp. of the herb (or 2 teabags) to a cup of boiling water. Allow the eyebright to soak in the hot water for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid out and place it in a container in order to cool it slightly. Discard the herbs.
  • Step 2 Soak cotton balls or soft gauze in the resulting infusion. Apply the liquid to your eyes as a compress while you lie down (or place the teabags on your eyes). This can also be used as an eyewash for overworked, tired eyes.
  • Step 3 Grate 3 or 4 tbsp. of raw potato and place them on your eyelids for up to 20 minutes. If you prefer, you may use slices of raw potato to place on your eyelids while you recline. This will reduce swelling, puffiness and the redness associated with bloodshot eyes.
  • Step 4 Brew a strong tea made of rose-hips. Moisten two cotton balls in the tea and place them on your eyes to eliminate dark circles and “bags” under your eyes.
  • Step 5 Cut a fresh fig in half. Place one half over each eye. Dark circles will disappear.

Healthy skin with no pimples.

Reading through different sites, books and journals, I found out some really useful tips to keep the skin of your face nice and clean, and to get rid of that awful red and swollen pimples and blackheads.
There are 10 important steps to keep your skin healthy and beautiful:

1.The very first and important step is to know what type of skin you have and then buy the specific skin care products.
2.The 3 important things should not be ignored are to clean, to tonify and to moisturize.
3.Drinking water every day will help get rid of toxins that accumulate in the organism due to poor diet. It will help to improve the skin’s complexion.
4.Wear sunscreen to protect the skin from the sun. The sun is the main cause of premature skin aging and can worsen other skin conditions.
5.Sleep enough.7-8 hours is essential if you want to avoid under eye bags and dull skin.
6.Avoid your skin's enemies :Drugs, cigarettes ,excess of alcohol or late nights.
7.Never ever go to bed with your make-up on.Always cleanse your face at night and in the morning ,even if you don't have make-up on.
8.Don’t touch your skin all the time or squeeze any spots because you will carry bacteria from your fingers. Always wash your hands before applying skin care products.
9.Having an exercise routine, even if is moderate will help improve circulation and blood flow, which will give you glowing skin.
10.Stress is very bad for your health and for skin, too.Deal with it:: meditation, visualization, deep breathing, yoga, closing your eyes and counting 20 to 1 slowly.

"A new idea is rarely born like Venus attended by graces. More commonly it's modeled of baling wire and acne. More commonly it wheezes and tips over."
Marge Piercy

Pimples make you feel bad? Get rid of them by using the tips above + some special bellow:
* Wash your face twice a day (no more) with warm water and a mild soap made for people with acne. Gently massage your face with circular motions. Don't scrub. Over-washing and scrubbing can cause skin to become irritated.
* Don't pop pimples. It's tempting, but here's why you shouldn't: Popping pimples can push infected material further into the skin, leading to more swelling and redness, and even scarring.
* Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores.
* Eat a well balanced diet, and make sure that you include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain quite a bit of natural vitamin A and vitamin E, which is essential to good skin care.
* Don’t mask the skin with heavy make up, it will clog the pores and suffocate the skin, remember that less is more. Use lighter foundations or tinted moisturizers if you have mature skin.

I guess that's all I know about healthy and beautiful skin :) If following this easy steps you'll have a beautiful and glowy skin for ages
You guys, know more? Please, share it with me in the comments.

Dandruff-discomfort through centuries

One of the greatest problem people are fighting with is dandruff. Year by year in the drug stores appears more and more shampoos and medications against it. Some might help...other not, however they are expensive and not all the time effective.
Dandruff is an itchy skin disorder of the scalp that develops during the normal growing process of the scalp's skin cells.
What causes dandruff?
The exact cause of seborrheic dermatitis is unknown. Most experts do know, though, that it is not caused by poor hygiene.

  • Not enough hair brushing
  • Dry skin
  • Seborrheic dermatitis (irritated, oily skin)
  • Not enough shampooing
  • Certain skin conditions
  • Some illnesses
  • Reaction to hair/skin care products
  • Malassezia
  • Diet
  • Mental stress
  • HIV
There are a lot of naturalist remedies from all over the World, that helps us get free of this dilemma:

  1. Massaging of pure apple juice and thrice the quantity of warm water is good treatment of fading away dandruff.
  2. Applying gently warm coconut oil mixed with one hundredth of black pepper is very good remedy for treating dandruff.
  3. Applying two table spoon of cosmetic vinegar and six table spoon of hot water on the scalp with the help of cotton swab and leave it over night. After that wash it with herbal or a mild baby shampoo.
  4. Massage the scalp with almond and olive oil for five minutes, leave it for some time and then rinse off to get the dandruff free hairs.
  5. Apply hot olive oil or sesame oil on the scalp at bed time. Now an hour prior to the bathing rub lime juice mixed with the cosmetic vinegar on the scalp. Wash and rinse your hairs properly. For the last rinse use lime juice and warm water. Follow this process for about 3 months twice a week. This will surely help in relieving from dandruff.
  6. Beet root crushed in henna paste is good in preventing dandruff and hair fall when applied on head.
  7. Take a palm full of baking soda and rub it on your wet hair. Wash it off with water. The baking soda should relieve the itching and help in reducing the problem of dandruff.
  8. Mix 100g witch hazel and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice in 200ml water. Shampoo your hair and apply with cotton to the scalp when the hair are still wet. Repeat several times until the dandruff is treated.
  9. Giving sufficient exposure of sun to the scalp is another important method of getting rid of dandruff
  10. Last rinse with the lime juice is beneficial for hair fall an dandruff condition.
It is an  unlimited list of naturist benefit for your scalp, but I can surely say that at least one of it will help you to get rid of dandruff or at least, to prevent it's appearance.
As well , to be healthy outside, you should take care of your inside, too.So one should be very particular about the diet and should stress on food stuff like fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouted seeds, raw nuts and cereals.
Avoid using red meat, sweets, strong coffees and teas, candies, aerated drinks like Pepsi and coke, pickles and spices.
Be healthy, Get rid of it.
